NIA Spreads Christmas Cheer To Needy Children Of Eersterust
The National Intelligence Agency (NIA) hopes to spread a little
festive cheer to close to 300 children of Eersterust,
Pretoria

East, today, Wednesday, 30 November 2005. The event takes place at the Eersterust Community Centre.
This is the third annual Christmas party sponsored through the Agency's community outreach project, Vukuzenzele.
NIA is delighted to once again add a bit of spark to the Eersterust children's faces and brighten up their day. Thanks to
the generosity of NIA members, the children will be showered with Christmas gifts. To make this day extra special, a children's
theatre group, Babbelbox will provide entertainment. The Wimpy Woodlands Boulevard will provide Power Meals for the second year in
a row and Pick n Pay Woodlands Boulevard has donated 15 food parcels as a token of thanks to the volunteers who work at the
centre.
The role played by NIA's partners and members in creating the opportunity for the children and volunteers is acknowledged. This
spirit has ensured the success of all its Vukuzenzele projects, which is centred on President Thabo Mbeki's call for volunteers.
Vukuzenzele projects run throughout the year with initiatives to help alleviate poverty and they include food donations to the
Beterskap home for the elderly; toys, clothing and Pick 'n Pay vouchers for the homeless people of the Vos Street Shelter; as well
as a clothing donation to the Struben Street shelter.
