NIA Golf Day 2004
|
The 2004 NIA Golf Day was held on Friday 5, November 2004 at the Woodhill Country Club with the objective of clarifying NIA’s role and demystifying intelligence amongst its clients and partners. Such events form part of NIA's drive to ensure that all South African citizens particularly those in authority, i.e. senior management of client departments, are sensitised about the function of intelligence and reminded about their respective roles in safeguarding the constitutional order. Golf as a sport creates an opportunity for individuals to interact informally for an extended period of time thereby enhancing cooperation and allowing the Director-General of NIA and his senior managers to reach out to potential partners. This kind of interaction is regarded as a powerful tool for achieving the vision of optimising Intelligence's role at the centre of government to the benefit of South Africa and the continent. The business sector was the focus of this year's event as the DG's speech indicates (see the bottom of this page). |

We take our hats off to all our generous sponsors, who made it possible for NIA to host the event with their money only. Thank you. Our deep gratitude is due to our event's planning company, Masake Communications, that made this day memorable. |
